A while ago I posted that I’d tamed one of those Wintersaber pridewatchers… you know, like someone else’s pet? (Not that I’m a copy-cat, really…). I’ve been slowly grinding her up the levels, she’s currently sitting at 62 (how much longer will the pain go on?!). I have been trying to think of a decent name for her, really not wanting to end up thinking ‘oh that would be soo much better’ like usually do, so until the weekend she was unnamed.
Finally I realized… it was so friggin simple! My hunter’s name is Maryliin, so OBVIOUSLY the pet’s name should be MONROE! /facepalm!
Maryliin and Monroe have been trying to get the levels up, frantically trying to think of the best way to grind up the levels while still getting something out of it - I mean come on, I’m not just gonna run around killing talbuks and clefthoofs when I can’t even skin the things, and most elementals are too close together for me to kill them on my own, I’m practically running without a pet here (with a random MM build for high damage output to *hopefully* make up for it). So I’ve settled on the ogres in Nagrand, at least this way I’m getting closer to obtaining one of those mounts I’ve been drooling over with the rep, and I can also hand in the Warbeads to get Consortium rep - definitely something I want to do as a jewelcrafter!
In between doing that, I’ve leveled my mage, Zackman (after the Toddler) to 64, and Softthistle got PROMOTED to becoming a full member of her (my?) new guild! I’ve been really enjoying playing the game so much more since joining STU, so I’m really glad they’ve decided to shorten my trial!
So that was pretty much my WoW-weekend… how was yours?

My WoW weekend was pretty good thanks! Did enough Dailies with Shattered Sun to be Honored… which is still too far from Exalted - and My Rogue is 61, so you are beating me with your mage. I need to hurry up!
Congratulations on Full Membership in your new guild! You should have just started your own… :p That’s what I did. And we FINALLY got a bunch of us through all the key fragments and only have the Caverns of Time left for Kara Attunement… now that you only need one or two attuned… HA!

I have a purple/white kitty too, though I got her when I was fairly close to her level so not too much grinding needed. I like your name choice! *grin* Also really love your banner!

If you’re still looking for places to grind levels for your pet, there’s a couple of really good spots. One is the “Mana Bomb” circle area at Firewing point in Terokkar forest. Focus on the warlocks there. They have very little health so they are easy to burn down, and they don’t run into melee range when you steal aggro from your pet. I think they are all around lvl 64 or so. Plus they drop lots of green items and a good supply of Arcane Tomes and Sunfury Signets for Scryers rep.
You could also try the Warlocks at Legion Hold in Shadowmoon Valley. They might be a little tougher for a lower level pet tho. They respawn very fast, and there’s an Elite Mob patroling the area that you’d have to watch out for. But they drop Aldor rep items, so they’re a good alternative to the Blood Elves in Firewing point.
