Softthistle’s stats (unbuffed) are now as follows:

HP: 8427
Mana: 9489

Spell dmg - 1030

Spell hit - 153 (1 over, I know, but it was the closest I could get!)

Spell crit - 15.31% (that’s minus the 5% that Moonkin form gives me)

MP5 - 131

All I need to do now is get the Amani Punisher from Akil’zon, and another 25 badges for the Fetish of the Primal Gods and I’ll be happy, for the next wee while at least!

Also?

Aurik is teh awesome! Kthxbai.

Don’t say I didn’t tell ya now! ;)

Y

You know when you just don’t know what to write, but you don’t want to *not* write something? Yep, that’s what’s happened to me today. For the past couple of days actually!

Last night was MH, 4/5 were downed, hopefully the archibutt will go down on sunday (*fingers crossed* come on Lightwalkers, we can do it!!), and I might get to see BT sometime soon too. :D

I got me some t6 gloves from Ass galore (woot!) so I’m officially rockin now. Or is that hooting? Must check that out…

I’ve been attempting to get some gold together, I think I’ll be getting Maryliin (the hunter) her epic flying mount after all since it’ll make mining (and therefore farming) much easier, but at the same time… epic flying for a farmbot? Will it really be worth it? Ok… another thing to check out. Hmm.

Zackii has been trying to get rep, grinding up his enchanting and tailoring, AND grind gold at the same time. Needless to say that’s not going too well, but he’s getting there! I’m having much more fun getting him geared up than I did with Maryliin, she’s just kinda been left to it really, I just can’t seem to get that ‘into’ my hunter state of mind these days.

I tried a fire spec with him, I *really* tried, but he was just! too! squishy! Plus he kept burning himself, so he’s back to a deep frost build. A really deep frost build. Uh, ok… and ALL frost build. Don’t hit me Mages-Who-Know-Better-Than-Me, please? I mainly solo with him at the moment anyway, unless I’m in an instance, but, but, I just like him specced that way ok?

*sigh*

I know, I know… I need to sort it out right? I’m workin on it, I just love my non-squishy frost spec so much though, and I don’t *really* know what I can do that will increase dps but still let me have my ice barrier. I *love* my ice barrier! I feel so safe inside my ice barrier. Did I mention I like my ice barrier? Well, I do!

You’d think, that with all these level 70s (three!), I’d be contented with trying to gear them, doing dailes and such, but… just a short while after dinging Zackii, I am already getting that leveling itch again. I know  I *should* level my lock if anyone, she’s sitting at 57 and wants to see Outland before the expansion after all.

My stupid brain keeps thinking *shamanshamanshaman*. I swear, the altitis is a hard thing to kick, especially when you like the process of leveling - it’s an addiction!! Gaah!

So, I guess really I have been doing quite a bit in wow recently… off I go to do some more! ;)

/hugs!

Ahem, I meant *never*, obviously… but come on, this shared topic comes from the lovely gun lovin dwarf chick Breana, co-host of the Twisted Nether Blogcast - you know I can’t resist stupid lil puns n such! Or do you… oh well, I do, so there!

Aaaanyhoo, like I was saying, Bre’s posted an awesome shared topic over at the Blog Azeroth forums, and here it is -

Recently, in BA chat, I spoke about my guild progress and how we killed Mags the week before. Then the conversation turned to getting the “Champion of the Naruu” title. Which got me thinking, I actually can do that quest and get that title! Something I thought I would never see, let alone attain, was now an achievable goal.

What about you? Think back.

What content or goals did you think you would never see, and what have you done? What has surprised you the most? Where do you see yourself in 6 months, after the launch of Lich?

Wow, well… where to begin?

I remember thinking I’d never hit level 60. It took me 11 months to get there - ELEVEN MONTHS! In my defence though, I was cooking and then caring for a cute lil dude who I named my mage after. :)

I remember thinking I’d never get to see the inside of Molten Core - then we downed Raggy baby!

I remember thinking I’d never get to raid as anything but an innervate biatch. LOOK AT ME NOW!!

I remember thinking that *if* I was lucky I might, just maybe, manage to see some of SSC and TK. Well, I still haven’t seen them, but this week it was me and Archi. I was bouncing around in my seat like a hyperactive 3 year old during the whole 3.5 hour raid! Much in the way MY hyperactive 3 year old does if I ever let him near my baby (that would be the Mac folks, not his younger sibling).

A year ago I had no idea blogs existed, nevermind blogs that were solely about WoW - who knew I’d end up writing one myself, and become part of an awesome bloggy community?

I never would have dreamed that I’d leave my guildies (and husband!) in The Black Citadel, but I did. Not only that, but I ended up changing servers on top of it all, and this occured - you guessed it, because of the bloggy friends I made.

In 6 months time… I see myself having killed that git Archi, hopefully having done most (if not all) of BT, and maybe a little of Sunwell before Wrath came out. I don’t see myself getting a BETA key for wrath, but oh.. OH HOW I WANT ONE!!! (Hai, if you get one and don’t want it… feel free to give it to meee - I will love you forever, just don’t tell the hubby!!).

Once WoLTK is released? I actually have some sort of a plan this time around. I want to be one of those guildies who levels up relatively quickly. Not that I don’t want to miss what’s actually going on in the quests and such, but I would love to be one of those players in the core group who are first to take on the new content, rather than slip to the end of the queue like I did previously, both pre- and post- TBC.

One way or another, I definitely still intend to be playing wow… and to be in my current guild… and my Boomkin will always, always be my main lady, even though she doesn’t exactly look like a lady with all those feathers n… stuff… anyway… you’re not going to see this change into a death knight blog anytime soon!

Last night was my first ever look at the Archimonde fight and oh my goodness I was so excited - my first ‘proper’ progression raid with Lightwalkers. I came stocked full with pots, food reagents, the wiping hat and of course, a positive attitude to the whole thing. If you don’t think you’re going to down a boss you never will!

We must have had around 15-20 tries on him, with our best attempt getting him down to 36%! Not too shabby and the learning curve was going well. :)

Our main problem (I think!) was people getting feared into the fire. Once one person goes it’s a wipe - I’ve never tried to stay alive so much in a raid before!! Hmm, that sound’s kinda bad I guess… oh well!

All in all I had an awesome time - I learned a lot and I didn’t mess up for once - go me! :)

Our next try is on tuesday, just before the week resets… keep your fingers crossed for us!

So, I don’t honestly get what’s going on… but BRK said this, and then BBB said this, and now JessBell, Pali and Awl all said some other stuff… so, uh, I guess I should join in with some Druid solidarity or something (although I always thought druids couldn’t be that solid with all the shapeshifting going on… another post huh? …right).

Here we go then…

fohoooooot…

no, wait a minute…

Forawwwrr…

wait, lemme clear my throat a bit.

Whatever that means.

Diiiiing!

Friday evenings are always pretty dull for me. Nothing on TV, no raids on. Once the kids are in bed at around 7.30pm there’s only wow to look forward too, so I decided last night that I would get Zackii to 70 before I went to bed. At 00.01 this morning he jumped the final hurdle. I now have THREE level 70s!

Yay Zackii!

I’m still not really *that* sure what I’m going to do with him to be honest. I’ve specced him 17/0/44 for now. I think I might play around with builds to decide what I want to do with him. I love the survivability of Frost, but the dps of the Fire and Arcane trees is mighty tempting…

I’m thinking I’ll just go straight into doing dailies on Zackii to get some gold together as that’s something I am most definitely lacking at the moment. He’s got another 35 points to go till his enchanting is maxed out, and around 15 points to get the tailoring done, and that requires some money even if I do manage to grind most of the mats myself!

I know, I know… I just got a purty new boomkek banner and I’m talking about my mage… bear with me though, I will come back around to Softi soon, she’s raiding when she’s given the chance, and is saving badges for her next upgrade. She’s itching to get into a ZA run soon… some nice upgrades in there for her!

*Looks around* What do you lot think then? I kinda like it :)

I asked a guildie, Sableye if he would mind creating a banner for me, using the boomkin wallpaper of Andrige’s (I really hope you don’t mind Andrige!) that I love so much, and so it was done! Once he sorts himself out with a deviant art page I’ll most definitely send some linky love his way. Yay for guildies!

Last night my little boy Zackii dinged 69. He’s almost all grown up, and I still don’t really know what to *do* with him once he’s 70. Should I make him my lil PeeVeePee whore? Should I gear him up for PVE, or should I just level up his Enchanting to 375 and keep him on the bench til WoLtK comes out and start working on leveling my lock (now 57) to 70 so they’re on the same boat?

I have been looking for info on what to do, trying to read some mage blogs etc, but the information I have found has been kind of all over the place, or not updated for over a year - quite some time in the world of Warcraft.

What I would love is a list of what I should do once little Zackii hits 70, much in the way BRK wrote his list of what hunters should know for level 70. Is there such a list? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

For now I am still lost on what to do, so I think he may stay at almost-70-but-not-quite till I figure out whether it’s worth him getting some honor and badges before hitting 70 and being thrown in with the big boys and girls… what do you think? I needs some help from mah interwebz friends!

Flying Zackii!

Wow… almost 2 weeks since I last posted. I have no excuses other than I have been too busy having fun IN warcraft to write about it!

See, I have a mage. His name is Zackii. He had been sitting at 64 for a loooooong time when I moved him over to Bloodhoof with the rest of my characters, and I guess I found my interest in him again (finally!). My only male character, named after my first son, and he’d been dumped in the land of idleness for too long!

So now? Now I’m having a lil race (only in my mind really) with Aurik’s druid alt to get to 70. When I logged off last night we were both 68. Who do ya think will win? Only time will tell! I’m thinkin it’ll probably not be me though… the weekends tend to go by way to fast for me!

Zackii’s now questing in Blades Edge, up in that Evergrove place. I’m thinking I’ll probably hit 69 before I leave there, or just after. My only problem is group quests. Being mostly a solo player, I never really manage to get many of the group things done (no.. really? Funny that!). I have about 6 waiting to be done from Nagrand still, and probably 3/4 from Zangermarsh… and Terrokar? Don’t get me started - I hate that place and abandoned all the quests as soon as my squishy butt hit 65 and I could pick up all the Nagrand quests. I will probably go back there once I’m 70 to get gold and rep n shit, but until then, I’ll be staying AWAY!

Once I’m done in BEM it’s up to Netherstorm. I’m gonna do ALL the quests there if it kills me! Plus the gold from there and SMV should be enough to get me the last of the money I need to get my flying mount.

I guess it’s time to think about what spec I want to be once I’m 70… I’ve been playing with a heavy frost spec since I hit 50, and I’m loving the survivability that goes with it, but I don’t exactly need *all* my points in there… so I guess I’m asking for any advice on where to put the other 15-20 talent points that haven’t got a proper home.

I’ve also been fiddling around with my UI, but I’ll leave that for another post… time to get back to leveling Zackii… can’t let that sneaky druid get to 70 before me now can I?
