Ding 72, and 73!

by Softi on November 18, 2008

So yeah, NaBloMaHo whatever is out the window – what can I say, I had a busy weekend!!

I managed to get Softi up to 73 by last night, and I swear, I’m already feeling burnt out from all the wow-ing. I’m used to just playing snatches here and there without too much direction, now I’m seeing so many people leveling uber-quickly, and I would love to be one of them – damn the whole needing a job time-sink thing!

So far, I’ve almost cleared the Tundra, and I’m about halfway through the Fjord. I’ve done some quests in Dragonblight, and I’m ITCHING to get to Grizzly Hills – the music there just makes me melt, I loves it! Ooh, and Sholazar Basin… that place just looks sooo cool!

Bit of a place-hopper aren’t I? I just can’t stay in one place for too long… never have been able to – that’s why I had 3 level 70s, that way I got to see all the content eventually, right? ;)

I am trying SO hard to just concentrate on Softi for leveling at the moment – I want her to get to 80 dammit! Then I can relax a bit and level my other chars as I see fit, but there’s a problem with that. Me trying to keep to one character that is. The problem? I can’t do it! I JUST can’t! There’s a reason I have too many alts to count – my attention just doesn’t stay for long enough. *sigh*

Oooh, and can I just say – who needs a gorilladin when you have a boomkin!! I can grab aggro from like 5-7 mobs my level and aoe them down with a combo of Starfall, Barkskin, Hurricaine… freakin AWESOME! :D

I highly recommend the Grizzly Hills and Sholazar Basin. I quickly ventured into the Grizzly Hills for an achievement and absolutely LOVED it. It’s gorgeous, the music is awesome, and I love the hilly terrain and running rivers. The Basin on the other hand is more or less flat, but gorgeous as well. I quickly spent some time there last night doing the Hemet Nesingwary quests before heading back to Zul’Drak. I didn’t really enjoy Dragonblight too much and preferred the Fjord over the Tundra.

However, I’m going mostly in order doing all the quests I can in each zone for the achievements and so far I’ve done Fjord, Tundra, and Dragonblight while 60% complete in Zul’Drak. I’m hitting up the Grizzly Hills next and can’t wait!

Dragonblight has been my favourite zone so far for sure. A nice daily quest you can pick up there too which I’m running every day right now.

The music has really improved since TBC, I used to be really into MMORPGs like suikoden, final fantasy 3 etc.. and the music really reminds me of those…

I hear ya about Grizzly Hills. I stumbled in there early by mistake when I jumped off the mountain the wrong direction for a HF quest. I saw the terrain and heard the music and immediately couldn’t wait to start questing in there. I think the Northrend music is hands-down the best Blizzard has done in WoW.

I have no problem saying that my monkey rules. He’s leveled with me and is awesome for completing the quests so far. Never thought another pet would be better and no way am I trading for a moonkin. Have you see how much food it takes to make them happy?!?
