Yeah, well… title says it all, Softi is 71. Managed that yesterday! I’d probably have gotten to 72 today if I had been able to play during the day but you know how real life is.

So, for now, and over the weekend… /afk

Blizzard, I don’t think I’ve ever felt like this before, but I just can’t keep it to myself - I pink fluffy heart you. YOU ROCK!

Northrend is amazing! I know, I know - I had a beta key, so I knew this already, but you know what’s really f*cking awesome? NO lag. None. I have been playing since last night (with a few hours break for sleep and such) and I have had NO lag. NO server restarts, and no problems at all with installing and setting up WotLK.

I remembered when TBC was released. I remembered the days of just being plain unable to log on. I thought that maybe I’d have been a bit over-excited by booking off the 13th - it’s not like I’d be able to do much, surely?

I know the US servers have had some stability issues over the past week or so, but here in the EU we’ve been pretty damn lucky, and I am so happy at that!

Last night I went to our local Game-station for the midnight launch that they only just decided they were having about two days ago. I met up with some awesome people that I connected with through Plurk, and we went together. I may have scared them slightly with my hyper OMIGOSHWRATHISHERESQUEEEEEE-ness, but it wasn’t enough for them to run away at least! Also, if you don’t know what plurk is - SHAME ON YOU! Sign up and join meh! I also left a slightly hyper message on Fim and Bre’s voicemail as instructed. I hope it’s at least somewhat coherent. >_<

Softi is in the Borean Tundra for her first levels… and it’s time for me to get online and get her butt fo 71 already!

Six hours!!! LESS than six hours now, until I get my hands on Wrath! WOOOT!

So… would it be totally weird for me to get some facepaint and put the markings of my druid on for the midnight opening?  Cause, I might have been thinking of doing that a little bit… maybe… /shiftyeyes.

In other random news: A sign that my guildies know me too well - I call my new baby rogue Silentsofti and they pipe up with “that’s a bit of an oxymoron for you isn’t it?” *sigh*

I can’t deny it any longer… I’m a chatterbox. What do you mean you know??

Just two more sleeps until I’ll get my hands on Wrath - it’s going so damn slowly! *sigh*

Turns out I am going to a mini-meet with a couple of wow-playing plurkers at midnight on wednesday - yay!

So, I thought I should write a short list of things to have ready for once I get my precious home and installed…

• Many litres of Coke to keep me awake.
• Microwaveable snacks to do me through the weekend, maybe some for Noobie too.
• A fresh notepad for writing blog ideas during down-time.
• Get the baby-jail built up again (I kid… really).

I’ve forgotten something… I know I have. Remind me in the comments, k?

Typically, this thursday and friday are the 3yr old’s nursery’s inservice days, so no nursery for him, and less play-time for me, oh well! >_<

Definitely leveling the boomkek first. She’s just gotta see the content first, end of. I wonder how far to 80 she can get by sunday…

So we’re in day 5 and I’m already struggling with what to write about on this blog. I need more play-time to actually, y’know, HAVE something warcrafty to write about?

I did actually get on last night though, for about an hour. I decided to invest in the Refer a Friend goodies to level up some alts - we all know how I love my alts, right? So there I was, attempting to dual box my new little gnome rogue and her dwarf pally friend, and I realised that I didn’t exactly choose the best of times for it now, did I? Not online much, Wrath out in a week (yes I have thursday and friday booked off by the way!), and… well, anyhoo. It’s done now I suppose, so I’d better make the most of it eh?

I have been kind of at a loss on what to do with my wow-self recently. I know I could be farming gold and such, or having fun with the achievements, but I just feel like I’m waiting for the expansion to arrive. I don’t really see the point in slaving my butt off for BoJ’s that will be useless in a couple of weeks, or to make gold that I’ll no doubt spend on frivolous things that I never really needed. I haven’t been stockpiling mats, or doing anything in particular to ‘prepare’ for the release of Wrath because… well, because I can’t be bothered to be honest! At least doing some dual-boxing has given me something to focus on.

What have you been doing to prepare for the expansion? Have you decided who you’re going to level first? [I've decided it'll be the boomkek that I'll level first after all.] Are you going to start over with a whole new character?

and, well, that’s about it really! Having fun, trying not to forget about ‘real wow’ too much, and nothing else to be said as I’m not gonna say too much incase it becomes a spoiler-fest!

One other thing though - I hate playing with no addons! *sigh*
